Google has officially added site speed as one of their ranking factors.Google,the search engine giant,has already approximately 200 ranking factors responsible for search engine ranking positions.Now Google has added site speed in the list of their ranking factors.So now, all webmasters need to pay attention on their website speed rather than thinking on adding complex codes and graphics to their sites for attracting visitors.

However, Google has also advised webmasters not to loose their site’s relevancy on the cost of improving site speed as this new factor will affect very few queries only, so other important ranking factors such as site’s relevancy etc. would still be dominant over site speed.
Matt Cutts, head of Google’s web spam team says “This change affects outliers; we estimate that fewer than 1% of queries will be impacted. If you’re the best resource, you’ll probably still come up.”
